How to use Gmail's 'Send Mail As' with your Custom Domain (Using Gmail SMTP)

If you have a custom domain and want to send emails from your Gmail account using your custom domain, you can use Gmail's "Send Mail As" feature. This feature allows you to send emails from your Gmail account using your custom domain email address.

Here's how you can set up Gmail's "Send Mail As" feature with your custom domain:

  1. Enable 2-step verification for your Gmail account:

    • Go to your Google Account settings.
    • Click on "Security" in the left sidebar.
    • Under "Signing in to Google," click on "2-Step Verification."
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to enable 2-step verification for your Gmail account.
  2. Generate an app password for your Gmail account:

    • Go to your Google Account settings.
    • Click on "Security" in the left sidebar.
    • Under "Signing in to Google," click on "App passwords."
    • Select "Mail" from the dropdown menu and "Other" from the device dropdown menu.
    • Click "Generate" to generate an app password for your Gmail account.
  3. Add your custom domain email address to Gmail:

    • Go to your Gmail account settings.
    • Click on the "Accounts and Import" tab.
    • Under "Send mail as," click on "Add another email address."
    • Enter your custom domain email address and click "Next."

    For Name: Enter your name or the name you want to display when sending emails.
    For Email Address: Enter your custom domain email address. For example: [email protected]

    • Follow the on-screen instructions to verify your custom domain email address.
